Michel Benebig

Michel Benebig was born in New Caledonia - Nouméa-City on June 27, 1964. He started playing electric-bass, accordeon and electronic-Organ at 11 in dancing-bands, from 1990 to 1992, Michel studied classical music in France (Piano and writing music), in 1993 Michel switched from Classical Piano to Jazz-Organ (Hammond B-3 Organ), and taught himself the Blues & Jazz organ technics, spending hours of practicing. Michel had a grade-level teaching and performing exam in 2003, and obtained the "D.E" (Diplome d’Etat / State Diploma ) on 'B-3 Hammond Organ'. Michel created a new association called 'AMJ-BECA' (Association des Musiciens de Jazz & Blues pour les Echanges et la Création Artistique), producing concerts, tours, master-classes etc... all around New Caledonia and overseas... Michel international tours include countries like Australia & Tasmania, New-Zealand, Fiji, Vanuatu, USA, Ile de la Réunion (Indian Ocean), France etc... Michel was elected the "Organist of the Month" on may 2006 by "The International Archives for the Jazz-Organ" in Europe (Germany), and received a certificat – diploma.
